I’ve started changing my links in various ways — for example, creating one lensography page that’s got nice SEO-friendly links to all the lenses in that niche/series, having all of them link back to it, so there is at least some link juice flowing.

The other not-too-awful technique is to create a custom tag used by all lenses closely related to each other, and include that in their tags (possibly even the primary tag, if it’s a bunch of lenses). In theory, tag pages provide inter-linking as well.

But now I’ve gone and checked to make sure that’s still working, and I’m not sure it is. See new post. :(

I read Marketing Spiritual (Katinka) earlier and she is right: the featured lens module is no longer the way to go. Unless it is another glitch? I am back after some summer break and face with more change on squidoo, not to mention the slow to load dashboard.

Question is should we change our featured lens module with plain link module?

And no I am not prepare (yet) to go and use your HTML-coded imitation Featured Lenses modules. Maybe on a couple of pages, to test, but really it would be too time consuming….and maybe squidoo will just reverse this change…
