A period of stability to benchmark against would be good too; with Halloween and then Christmas approaching, I don’t think it’s a good time to experiment.

I also have it on good authority that Matt Cutts sent a persoanl email to someone telling them not to rush to convert to sub-domains, while Google looks at this.

I am glad that Squidoo is testing this out on just a sample set of lenses and lensmasters, but I do hope that they keep the test going for a long time – at least until we get better guidance from Google as to whether this will be a good idea or not.

I also hope that if they make the switch then we will have the option to opt in or out on an individual lens basis.
