To give an example, I have a blog that right from Day 1 started to get traffic. It is optimized, it is very niche specific and it was making sales. Not huge amounts, but regular amounts which, as you added it up over the months, meant the blog was very worthwhile. Then the one product it was selling well was withdrawn. I found a replacement product but no, sales dried up.

I think it is the same with Squidoo lenses, you may have a lens that ticks all the boxes, but no matter what you do with it, it does not make sales.

So, you need to be prepared to continue to make more pages and accept that sometimes you will never find out why some pages are more successful than others – I really do think that providing you research keywords, publish good content and get the backlinks, then it really is a numbers game.

The more lenses you have the more financial success you will have. The Tier payments really do add up, even when sales are thin on the ground. However, you really do have to be in it for the long haul. Too many people give up too quickly because they fail to get instant results.
